I have a new apartment and am a smoker. How can I stop the smoke from staining the walls?
Question:After living in my old apartment for two years the walls were yellow from smoke. I don't want that to happen again. How can I stop it from happening? Is there anyway besides buying an air purifier?
Answers:
1. Smoke outside.
2. Quit smoking.
That's about your only options.
Smoke outside or quit smoking.
smoke outside or rather quit smoking
Not Smoking
Get a portable air filter and blow all your smoke into it.
Don't smoke you better know it's bad for your health.
Good luck
Umm...quit? If that's too much then smoke outdoors.
PS. How bout the damage to ur lungs, how's that looking?
you should really quit smoking, u are killing people by second hand smoke. i have asthma and it's very hard to breathe when someone's puffing away.
i live in a house that was smoked in for 50 years and it took 3 years to fix it up from all the smoke damage. very gross.
paint your walls yellow?
A. Stop smoking. Your lungs are even more stained than the walls are.
B. Smoke only outside.
►Don't smoke indoors. Smoke outside. Or just stop smoking altogether.
►Prime and paint the walls before you move out.
►Wallpaper the apartment using a darkly-colored wallpaper pattern.
►Research it on Ask.com. It's one of the best search engines out there.
Even an air purifier will not completely prevent the staining. The only way is to not smoke inside. Possibly paint the walls a darker color to make it less noticeable.
smoke outside ;)
go outside or just stop smoking
I am going to tell you what everyone else has said. don't smoke. bad for your health and second hand is like smoking. also you get bad breath from smoking.
The only solution is to smoke outside.
You can't really prevent it. If your walls are washable use Greased Lightning. It's an all purpose spray cleaner. I discovered this product about 5 or 6 yrs. ago and it is the best I have ever found. Wash your walls and ceilings down with it about every 6 mos. It's easy. No scrubbing. Smoke comes right off. If they are not washable then you must paint.
If the cigarette smoke has done that to your walls imagine what it's also doing to your lungs. A friendly advice: just quit smoking.
u can stand next to the window and smoke ...u know keep blowing the smoke out orrrrrrrrrrr switch to hookah or get a baloon and keep blowing all the smoke in it....just make sure u dont deflate it in the house..otherwise back to square 1
Don't smoke!! Duh!
smoke outside as much as possible.
I just cleaned out my smoking brother's computer, and let me tell you- it was the nastiest computer I've ever seen! There were nicotine stains and tar buildup all over the heatsinks, fans, and intake vents in the case and power supply. It caused his system to overheat and he had to replace his hard drive. That computer had only been exposed to 2 years of his smoke, just like your walls had 2 years. Now, imagine what your lungs and throat look like and how many of your body's "components" are about to fail...
You can't keep it from staining your walls along as you smoke inside.Smoke outside so your apartment and stuff won't stink. Or you can quit smoking. I smoked for a long time and I quit cold turkey. I know it's hard for some people to quit but do it for you and the people who love you.
I don't know why it works so well but I have found that by burning a good quality candle not only does it eradicate nicotine stains but it also keeps the air fresh.
No don't believe me....... try it and see, it's miraculous!
