Drat - just typed you a lovely long screed when YA decided to call me in for my password, again!
1. If you have a rotary line in the garden - buy a large piece of green plastic tarpaulin and put this over the line. Secure with clothes pegs on outer lines. Hang clothes in the middle away from wind-blown rain. Your washing will keep dry and continue to get dryer. You won't have to rush to bring it in should the clouds open again.
2. Drape a sheet over your clothes horse and drying clothes
Put a fan heater on a low setting beneath the hanging clothes.
Leave a window open to prevent condensation.
Stick the horse by a window and open it for a draught, I did this on Monday and now the clothes are almost dry.
They will still dry on the clothes horse, mines are
ignore the tags and dry in dryer on a low heat, I do and have never had a problem, these tags are precautionary I wash dry clean only clothes in the washer too and they always come out great.
Put nylon things in pillowcase,,,that way they wont get full or medium heat ,in Dryer,,,,
Leave in the bathroom windows wide open they will soon dry
Hang them on clothes hangers, and hang up. As long as they are spaced apart, they will eventually dry. Will probably take all day, but a fan might help to circulate air around them and dry faster. Or you can try putting them in the dryer with the no heat/air fluff option. All they really need to dry is air, not heat. You might have to run the air fluff cycle a couple times or more, depending on how thick your clothes are.
I did this when the heating element went out on my dryer. Was a week before it got fixed, and I still had to do laundry!
Pop them onto coat hangers and hang in the bathroom - so long as no-one is taking a bath of course!
I use a 'hang-away' for all the clothes that can't be tumble dried, and often find the clothes don't need ironing after they have dried.
put them in the drier on low heat
If you hang things on coathangers over the bath, they will be dry by the next day.
They will still dry on the clothes horse but not as quickly as normal. I iron mine whilst slightly damp without using steam - this helps them to dry off and they are much easier to iron that way.
