How can I get tough stains out of a couch cover?
Question:There are black paint stains and green marker stains on my sofa cover. Is there any way to get them out, without having to throw the cover away?

use oxy clean. it really works!!
You might want to contact your upholstery place. They might be able to tell you how to do this.
Use Oxi Clean, it's basically good for everything.

Methylated spirts will take out the marker stains. Paint is a different matter. Is it water soluble paint? Then Oxy clean might work. If it's oil based, try turpentine.
The thing is, with any method you may also end up removing the sofa's color, too. Just dab carefully on small areas at at time, and work from the outside of the area in to avoid spreading the stain.
It's worth a try. Commercial cleaners will make no guarantees of success, but will charge you anyway.
