Ways to short-cut household tasks?
Question:After taking a bath, I wipe steam off the cabinet mirror with a microfibre cloth. I discovered this means I never have to clean the mirror as a separate task. Do you have any similar discoveries or tips?

I vaccuum everyday, it helps keep dust/dirt down
I vaccuum my furniture too...
Once a week I pour bleach into the toilet and let it sit 10min..sparkling bowl..
Once a week instead of scrubbing my tub I fill it with hot water add bleach and let it soak.No scrubbing
I only run my dishwasher at night at time delay cycle and only when it's full -this not only saves water/time/energy...
I save approximately 1/2 on my electric bill only running one major appliance at a time.
I wash clothes in cold water
I hang most of my clothes to dry especially jeans and dark shirts/pants as well as washing inside out..

actually if you put a very thin layer of shaving cream on your mirror it will not fog up or get the stuff made by rainex that will do the same thing
Before getting out of bed in the morning, straighten out the opposite side of the bed (the side you don't get out of), and then finish making the bed when you are up out of bed.
Rinse dishes right after you are done with them, helps washing them easier.
Clean, but don't be a perfectionist.
Help with the heat bill (electric bill) wash clothes with cold water.

Strange but true...use a dryer sheet to easily get soap scum off a glass shower door.
