get rid of old food, wipe down the fridge with clorox wipes and drawers
does it have yucky smells?
Then probably old food needs to be thrown out.
if it smeel bad then clean it out. toss everything
My entire house needs cleaning, you can come do that when you're finished with your fridge. :)
The oven. The floors. The garage. The windows.
Now I feel guilty and will have to get up and clean something.

take everything out wipe the inside with warm soapy water and wash the drawers in hot soapy water and then make sure it's dry then put everything back in and put i box of arm and hammer baking soda
trow out every thing clean your fridge and go out and buy bran new food.or just trow out old food and take out the new wile you clean.
Toss out old food. Take out all of your other food and disable your shelving. Water and vinegar cleans and de-odorizes pretty well.
Pull out every item in the fridge. Anything past use by date-toss. Anything growing green stuff, etc.,-toss.
Please take a clean rag, water, and baking soda, with the rag, wip down the interior of the fridge. Top to bottom. Yes, the crisper drawers and under them too.
Wipe down the inside of the freezer compartment too. And, then, to complete the job, wipe down the outside top to bottom, the doors etc. of the fridge. Then you are done.

clean with soap and water. Afterwards whip down with vinegar water inside. It will smell like vingar for just a short time. Than use a baking soad box for freshness...
I take everything out of the frig., switch it off, then go to town with toilet disinfectant.
I use a rough sponge soaked in really hot water laced with toilet cleaner and liberally whack it in every corner and cranny. Using an old nail brush to clean out the cracks.
When it's all sparkling white again I douse with clean water and wipe dry.
Same treatment for external surfaces.
I also suck out all the dust and dead vermin from the back with a vacuum cleaner furniture nozzle.
I've had my present frig. for 14 years and it looks a week old....no rust, no stains.
I only need to thoroughly clean twice per year, apart from daily wiping clean.
