How to remove the child lock on a bosch exxcel 1200 express washing machine?
Question:lent against it and pressed something and the childlock is now on and cant get it off - tried unpluging and repluging and pressing random buttons but it not working and i cant find the book - please help quickly as i have a load of washing to do!!

Try giving the surrounding area a hefty thump...mind your fist though don't break any bones. It just might release the mechanism. Mine stuck a couple of weeks ago...another thing that worked is to put your washer onto the quick spin without the clothes leave it for the full 3 minutes that ought to release it...failing that it is the engineer I think.

I have never heard of a child lock for a washing machine, but now i have i am going to look at my book to see if mine has one as it would be excellent for me as my one year old keeps adjusting the programme onmine when it's on!!
my washing machine has a child lock on it what you do is turn it off the wash cycle or what ever cycle its on and wait about 3 to 5 minutes you should hear a clicking sound meaning that the washer has unlocked if not get the washer serviced ifnot call the 800 # on the instructions
