Start with your clothes, don´t take all of them out , just a few at a time. Lay them on the bed. now set your alarm clock to go off in 15 min´s time, see how much you can get done in this short amount of time, Once the alarm goes off . stop and have a rest, if you think you would rather carry on , then do the same again. You will be finished in no time at all. With your paper´s and thing´s in the drawer´s. Take out a few thing´s at a time. put them in order, all pen´s pencil´s rubber´s in one pile. or if you have a spare pencil case put them in there. Paper´s all in a box. You need not do all in one day. You can sort them out , whilst watching TV. little by little is the best way . stick with 15, min´s here and there. Just remember when you finish what you are doing always reward yourself, After all you don´t want to stuck indoor´s whilst the sun is shining outside , Do You?.
The only way to fix that is to totally dump everything on your bed and go through it one thing at a time.
Make a good will (charity) pile of things you can't wear anymore.
Throw out all trash--trash is everything you haven't touched in 3 months, and you don't HAVE to have.
Hang up anything that will go on a hanger (even pants) that keeps the drawers from getting this way so soon.
Good thing about putting it on the bed is you can't go to sleep or lay down and rest until it is done.
Good luck, I make my 12 year old do this and she hates it, but always loves the results.
spread a bed sheet on the floor in the living room and dump each draw onto it, keep what you want , toss what you dont.
open drawer take out what you want to keep.dump the rest in trash can.it will work on all your drawers.then empty trash can.
First take everything out of the drawers. I would recomend doing it 1 drawer at a time. You will need a bag for trash and a bag for donation. Once you've gone through the first drawer move on to the next drawer.
Remove your drawers and wash with Tide.
when you can spare an hour or two without being interupted just dump out your drawers onto a big empty space on the floor or your bed and make a big pile of what to keep and another of what to toss out. decide what you want to store in which drawers. Maybe you want to keep papers and stuff in those organizer totes that slide under your bed and only clothes in your drawers?
I collected milk jugs, laundry soap containers, etc and cut the bottoms off so what I had were little boxes about two inches deep and I taped them together so that they fit in my drawers perfectly to create separate compartments for everything. I made some a bit deeper for my underwear and socks, as long as they fit in the drawer.
Use small tins that have been washed out and dried for small items such as erasers paper clips etc Put notebooks in milk crates and pencils you can make a pencil holder out of a frozen juice can apply some contact paper to the outside of the can to decorate. Good Luck !
Make a label for each item (eg..papers, notebooks) then paste in a boxes or drawers so you can place items on each category without the mess.
Totally empty them & start from scratch.. Buy some plastic containers of all different sizes w/lids on them. Seperate everything & put them in the containers. This w/keep things neat in the future. Hang clothes that could be put on hangers instead of being stuffed in the drawers. Make sure when you put things away, they're were they belong & everything w/be neat & stay that way.
