Use your baby wipes to get off as much as you can. Then use Woolite carpet or upholstry cleaner for any of it that didn't come out. Baby wipes should get most of it out. They work on clothes too!
get as much up as you can with baby wipes and use a mild solution of dishsoap and water to get any remaining trace of the leakage...
dishsoap is mild and it works wonders...
if it's an uncommonly nasty leak...get some Oxiclean...that stuff rocks!

Seinfeld would say get a new couch! I know it is a messy situation, but cover your nose and put on rubber gloves and tackle the job with just plain soap ( tide) and water.. this may need to be done a few times before the smell is finally gone. Good Luck--we have all been here with children.
Pine-sol does wonders. Mix about 2 cap fulls to about a gallon of HOT water. use a clean rag to dab it out. Don't rub it as that will just set the stain in.
After a few more years buy a new couch, say after he leaves for college. You've got soda, PB&J, juice, mud, and who knows what else about to get spilled on it.

My twin 2 year old girls do it all the time and so does my 3 year old son so I know what you are going through! I just wrapped the inside foam with garbage bags and then either shampoo the covers or take them off and wash them at least once a week or so. I can guarantee you it will happen again. Permanent solution- you have to wait for you son to be potty trained LOL! Good Luck!
