What is the most efficent way to clean an appartment when moving out?

What worked the best for me, years ago, was to clean right after emptying a room - usually the farthest one from the front door first. This way, as I left each room - it was clean and I never went back into it.
Doing it this way allowed me to know, for a fact, when the last room was emptied and I cleaned it - I could go out the door and not have to reenter the apartment to check to see if I missed anything or not.
clean while you pack and don't forget the ceiling fans :)
Top to bottom, room by room.
Honestly, the best way would be to pay for a cleaning service. If they miss something you can take it out of the deposit.
considering u are moving all furniture out, i recommend scrubbing the bathrooms and the fridge out the day before you move. if you are required to clean the windows and blinds, then you should do so a week or two before moving- considering they dont get dirty quickly. as you remove all the boxes and things from a room, vacuum it. I always save scrubbing the kitchen floor ofr last. (if you have a lot of people to help you move, designate one person the be in charge of vacuuming the rooms, while not vac. they can assist in moving things out of the next room they are gonna tackle.) oh another thing- dont forget to wipe down the base boards- i've gotten burned for that before.
Wait until you have removed all your belonging and go around hoover each room dust and polish then do the kitchen cleaned all surfaces and in side cupboards and the floor the go and give the bathroom a good going over i wouldn't worry too much as the next person to rent the apartment will want to do their own cleaning to get it like they want.
