Can you successfully clean an eggcrate mattress pad in the washer?

Question:

Answers:
I wouldn't recommend it...you'd have bits of foam all through...and the packaging on most does specifically say not to launder in the washer...

buy a new one, they are inexpensive, less than 25 bucks, depending on the size of your bed...

sort of turns brownish, let it sun dry is best
Don't put it in the washer! If you are not against a bit of hassle, they do wash well in the bathtub. Fill your tub 3/4 full with warm water and a good bit of baking soda, put in your pad and let it soak for about an hour. Swish, drain the tub and let it drain. You'll have to go back a gently wring and press it for a while until it get dry enough to dry flat outside (on a blanket on the lawn is good).
