How do you know when a dishwasher is done?
Question:My mom is gone and i am cleaning the dishes with my sister in the dish washer .I put the stuff in up to the line and it keeps going on and off. How do i know when its done?

the knob will have clicked over to the finished line. my dishwasher takes about 2 hours. but that does include drying time. if the dishes look clean and it is on the drying setting you can hand dry them with a towel.. i think it sounds like it is goign on and off because it is changing cycles.
I think it would have a green light above or below the (Clean) sign or it would keep beeping.
Did you set it on normal wash? It should stop after the dry
cycle. They do take awhile, maybe an hour or so.

Yes it can take that long, mine takes almost 2 hours for a full cycle. If you have knob that turns to the different cycles? If so, when it gets all the back around to off again, youre done. Its going to take longer if you have the dry cycle on, but otherwise youll have to dry them yourself. Up to you. Good luck!
When the lights go off. The dry cycle takes the longest.
