Should i throw away a shirt that has mold on it?

Question:everyone seems to tell me that i should throw it away. if i continue to wear the shirt and wash it with other clothing. will the mold spread to my other clothes

Answers:
I'd keep it for a painting and project shirt. The mildew will never come out. It will not spread to other clothing, either. I lost my house to a flood many years ago, and had to keep some things I couldn't afford to replace, like sheets. They still have the black spots on them, but the mildew never spread to other clothes. The odor left with the first washing as well.

I think that might be a good idea...
You cannot kill mold simply by washing in soap and water. You need to hand wash it is bleach and soap and hot water. But who would want to keep a shirt that was moldy?

By the way, how did it get moldy?
it wont if u do a voodoo ritual and throw it off a cliff
Bleach will kill the mold. But that's kindof gross ya know. washing it with your other clothes. Soak it in the sink with hot water and bleach and then wash it by itself and you should be okay.
Unfortunately, once clothing develops mold, there is almost no chance of getting it out. When my Children were still in diapers and I was very busy caring for them at this time in their lives, sometimes I would get behind with the laundry and some clothes would get moldy. I tried everything (even boiling the clothes in hot water) to rid the article(s) of clothing from the mold & nothing worked. In the end, I truly was only able to throw the clothes out that became effected by the mold. Maybe there might be some new products out there that can help, but usually when mold begins to grow in clothing, there is no getting it out. Unfortunately, they're very resilient little micro-organisms.
Throw it out unless you are so destitute that you don't mind breathing that junk.
you can kill the mold growth with bleach of course, but if i were u i would throw it out!!
Just throw it out.
Yes throw it away it could be makeing a very unhealthy lifestile
Wash it alone the first time you wash it just to be safe. But it should not carry mold over to the other items anyway if washed together.

Wash it soon though. Mold is a fungi and as it sits growing on your shirt, it is also EATING away at the fiber. What color is the shirt? If you wait too long and the shirt is dyed (not white), once you wash it and remove the mold, you may find that the surface fibers were eaten away a little, causing the shirt to look like it has a faded spot.
