Answers:
get a handful of salt and a few drops of olive oil, mix together and rub all over your hands. rinse and apply a lotion or body butter. you can repeat every couple of days. remember to keep lotion on your hands!

Vasaline, and Lotion, also some berts bees stuff work. You can buy these really cool wax thingies, it melts the wax which has lotion in it and then you put you hands in it, and the wax will dry on you hands. Keeps them really soft.
If you cake your hands with vaseline and wear rubber or latex gloves to bed, you will have baby soft hands the next morning. It is easy, just a bit uncomfortable, but you get used to it. Try it every night for a week, then a couple nights a week thereafter. Then any lotion during the day after washing. :)
I keep two lovely dispensers right by every sink in my home, one contains lotion enriched liquid soap and one contains lotion. Every time I wash my hands, I apply lotion afterward. When I'm on the go, I carry lotion enriched anti-bacterial waterless cleaner that I use frequently. But, I used to be a hand model and the habit got drilled in rather early.
Find a product containing mostly shea butter. It's cheap and it works. I have been using this lately and it works better than anything else I've tried.
i have found that after i clean or wash dishes and i have dry hands...this is what i do and it works so good!!...okay...
