How do i get rust off my knives?
Question:for some reason i get little spots of rust on my brand new knives...even though i hand wash them!

Use a soft wet cloth and a bit of metal polish like Cif. Rub in the direction of the grinding grooves with slight pressure.
use steel wool - start with very fine. SOS & Brillo are steel wool with soap in them but plain wool works too.

Nothing to worry about except appearance. They are probably not stainless or are in inferior type of stainless and so spot. Dry them with a towel after washing should stop the spotting. Rubbing with steel wool will remove the spots.
most probably, the moister is getting trapped between the knife blade and the handle. You stick it in the block and the moisture wicks down, and there is little air flow in a knife block.
So, leave them layed out on a cloth for a few hours before you put them in the block.
But, to remove the rust take a little steel wool and some soap to them. It will come right off.
Lemon juice will take it off.

use brillo pads,they must be made of steel to rust after you wash them make sure that you dry them well after you always wash them
salt and lemon juice. If they are cheap, dry them after washing, they have inferior plating. steel wool will scratch.
everyone is saying to use Brillo pads and steel wool, that will leave them full of scratches and take the shine off.
just cut up an onion with the knives, Ive tried it on all my knifes and it works great!!
i agree with the one above.. cutting an onion will work great!
