put them in large freezer bags and put them in the freezer for a couple of days. It kills the bacteria that causes odor.

Most of the time it´s the innersole that smell´s , you can remove these and buy new ones. Most big stores sell them , but ask in your local chemist , they will suggest a pair for you.
i get baking soda and sprinkle in the shoes. works well! if u want them to smell even better go get arm and hammer carpet refreshener...they have a lot of good ones that smell great. another thing to try would be fabric sofener sheets...inside the shoe...but actually the sprinkling of baking soda or arm and hammer bakingsoda carpet refresher works soooo good!
Well they will never completely not smell, but you can try deoderant(spray kind), or if you have foot fungus, the spray followed by the powder for that type of problem. They do sell sprays just for odor control, and even these little balls you just throw in your shoes, you can probably find them at eastbay.com. Drier sheets will help with smell or baking powder if you are poor right now. the Baking soda will take the moisture out and help with the smell. Good Luck
