How do you remove melted candle wax from a brick patio floor? I have tried cleaners and ice cubes. No luck.?

Question:I live in the southwest, and the patio is in the direct sun. Unfortunately, the melted candle was has seeped into the porous brick pavers, leaving a dark stain.

Answers:
You may want to try heating up an iron, placing an old towel over the wax, and running the iron over the towel.

Ideally the towel should absorb the wax. If this doesn't work, you may want to try to use a power-washer with hot water.

Hope this helps.

hold a blowtorch to it and quickly remove the flame and seep up liquified wax with a rag
Very hot water, and a good scrub, might remove it.
Use your washing up liquid, with boiling hot water and a scrubbing brush,
A pressure washer with HOT water and a strong cleaner may work. For future reference, there is a candle out there that cleans up with hot, soapy water from most surfaces. If your interested you can e-mail me at barbara@mycandlefarm.com to get a link for them.
