Is it better to leave pots and pans to soak or to wash them up?

Question:straight away

Answers:
My sons aged 22, 25, and 29 consider it's best to leave them to soak before I wash them.

Soak them, especially bolognese sauce!
deposit them immediately in the dishwasher
If you have the time do them straight away otherwise if you
have something pressing that you have to go do let them
soak and get to them as soon as possible.
the important thing is to don't let neither stress you out.
Leave 'em to soak while you finish the wine :-)
depends whats on them-weetabix, porridge, eggs, beans etc wash up staright away cos it will harden

roasting tins etc i leave to soak cos its usually baked on
depends on what you cooked in them dried on food will need a soak
Clean up right away is my policy
Its better to wash them straight away- done and dusted - over and done with- nice clear kitchen sink!
Always soak in cold water, especially if they had potatoes or scrambled egg. Then they wash up really easily.Or stick in dishwasher after soaking.
soak them
after cooking put water in them, the wash them after. Thats what I do when I do the cooking.

I also wash out bowls with water if I'm having cereal or that, and with drinks.
how long are we talking, weeks months is very bad!!
I usually soak them in soapy water then wash them soon after. It helps to remove any crusted on stuff. Never "Wash" cast iron though :) just rinse and dry with a towell..
It all depends on the type of washing up if it's stuck on stains soak it if its ordinary washing up do it straight away then hey presto nice clean kitchen
It is generally regarded soaking them overnight in soapy water will make cleaning easier in the morning.

If you can live with the fact you have a sink full of dirty dishes to face in the morning not a problem.
As long as they hit the draining board clean.
I soak if only if necessary, otherwise I rinse and put in the dishwasher or hand wash them. I really hate a dirty kitchen.
I let the pot's and soak in really hot soap for about ten to fifteen minutes and then give them a good scub with a brillo pad and that usually does the trick
if they have tough to remove stuff on them, soak them.
Depend´s on how bad they are stained. I normally add warm water & add baking powder to any stain´s . Add enough warm water to cover the stain, add 1 tablespoon of baking powder& leave for 10 min´s, this will remove most if not all the stain´s. Then wash with normal washing up liquid, great for burnt pot´s and pan´s too
What we do is as soon as were done cooking we put the leftovers away and put them in the sink to soak while we eat then one of us does the dishes afterward.
P.S.
Also a good way to keep weight off because then you are not going back for seconds.
wash em right away duhhhh then you get it done faster and you dont have to go back to them in 30 minutes when you dont want to
I put the pots in to soak as soon as I have served up usually, and then wash them after I've eaten.
Better to use cold soapy water to rince out 1st.For things like eggs come of better in cold.then wash as soon as you can in hot soapy water. Then rince soap of in hot water.Air dry better then using a cloth. You wash glasses 1st cups then plates knifes etc next.POTS last X Cindy.
I always soak em.makes it easier to wash!
