Can ties be wash in washing machine in warm or hot water? n can it be dry in a dryer too?
Question:if those ties that said dry clean only, but can it be wash? if yes, is it warm or hot water? n if dry in a dryer, what temp. n how long?
Answers:
I never dry clean my husbands ties! (even when they say dry clean only) I wash them in cold water with the delicates! As warm or hot water causes them to shrink! I hang dry them because again the heat from the dryer will cause shrinkage! Good luck!
It depends on what the tie is made of. Generally they should be dry cleaned to retain their shape and size and to prevent the colors from running. You can try that dry cleaning stuff you can find in the stores in the laundry aisle, but I haven't used it so I can't recommend it. If you paid a good price for the ties it would be wise to care for them properly.
Ties tend to punch on with the internal organs of washing machines due to their shape and size. Put them all in a pillow case and then wash them on warm. lay them out flat in non direct sunlight to dry, shake and turn (the ties, not you) regularly.
washing, dry clean only will ruin the ties
I would use warm water and hand wash,Surely its not very dirty if so Napisan is good. I would not dry it in the dryer as they would dry fairly quickly on there own, they are light and small
a tie that says DCO needs to be DCO
ties are usually cut on the bias and blocking them is important to keeping their shape and shape is important in a tie
get them wet in the washing machine and you may not be able to restore it to wearable condition
I would not try it on a tie you want to keep and wear
you could try it on a tie that you don't wear and won't wear just to see
after reading about others washing ties...are we talking about the same things?
I've tried before and did not have much luck in washing ties. They shrink and loose their shape. Best bet would just be to dry clean it. Especially is you have paid any considerable money for it, I would not want to chance it.
Even Ironing it after did not seem to help. So I would just bite the bullet on this one and dry clean them.
If you don't want to do that, as a last resort, I would just hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry and if still wrinkled, give it a light heat iron. Good Luck.
