What is the best way to disinfect & clean a kids mattress?

If you are having a problem with smell and you want to use a more natural product Baking Soda is really good for drawing out smelling stains. I sprinkle some water on the area, then baking soda afterwards. I then do a bit of a scrub ( toothbrush works really well) and then sprinkle on a bit more soda and leave it to deodorize and draw out the stains.

This works really well with the pee stains potty training usually goes hand in hand with. It just requires time to dry and may take a couple if tries of the stain is deep. You'll know it's working because the soda will turn a yellowish color as it draws out the stain.

This also does the trick on carpet.

If you can afford it, buy a new one. Then always use a waterproof cover on it, then your sheet etc.
exposed it in the sun then spray it with scented disinfectant.
i use a disinfectant spray if its a regular mattress. if you have a crib mattress either a disinfectant spray or wipe it down with lysol or pinesol.
