Get rid of tough soap scum?

Question:Does anyone know a solution that can get rid of tough soap scum? We have tried everything at the store without any success. This is for my shower glass doors. Thanks.

Answers:
Have you tried BAM? It works for me.

Have you tried vinegar?
Use more soap to get it off. If you rub the soap into the scum and then rinse it off it will work better than any cleaner solution.
Oven cleaner! Then keep a squeegee in there and wipe them down after showers and clean regularly and it won't build back up so much!
I have glass shower doors as well - and this drove me NUTS. I use a cheap shampoo (.99 cent bottle at Walmart) and a green scratch pad. Everytime I took a shower - for about 2 weeks, I would put a little shampoo and scrub down one of the glass walls (my shower is 2 sides tile, 2 sides glass).

It is the act of scrubbing that removes the soap scum - not the product. I would rinse it really well, and then squeegee the glass before getting out.

After a couple of weeks - my shower doors were spotless. Then I took plan old regular car wax, and waxed the doors. This keeps the soap scum from building up again.

Good luck.

awesome from the dollar tree as well as the lime rust scale from the dollar tree
I heard that CLR stuff works good..Calcium, Lime & Rust..google it, you should be able to order it online but I'm not sure if its available at stores.
I use the Mr. Clean Eraser pads, best things ever!!
I tried everything on the market. Then I tried Scrub Free scum remover in a spray bottle from Church & Dwight. It cleaned the shower and the dried clay around the cat box that even a professional tile steamer couldn't

After you get it clean, spray after every shower with Tilex shower cleaner.
Vinegar - a great all-purpose stain remover and cleaning agent, vinegar will work well on toilet stains, particularly hard water deposits or lime scale.
Bleach - borrowed from your laundry cupboard, bleach is stronger than vinegar and so will work on tougher stains and rings leave on for about 15 mins then use a scourer to clean.
Borax - if stains still persist, you can tackle them with borax powder which can be found in hardware stores. Sprinkle it directly onto the stains and then scrub.
Hydrochloric Acid - only for very stubborn stains, this caustic chemical is very powerful and can tackle stains as old as 40 years but be very careful in its usage and do not leave for it for any longer than the directions say, or it can damage the surface
I scrub mine with an old nail brush
