Whats the best way of cleaning windows so that there are no streaks or wipe marks?

Question:

Answers:
hot wash cloth just water. and dry with fuz free cloth. or you could use windex and wipe with news paper

Start by brushing exterior windows and frames with a soft brush to dislodge dirt and grime. Then scrub windows with a large sea sponge and a solution of one part hot water and one part white vinegar. Finish by drawing a squeegee down the windowpanes in long, overlapping strokes. Repeat the process inside, first laying old towels along the windowsills to catch the drips.

Make sure you do this when direct sunlight is not shining on the windows or it will dry the cleaning solution to fast and leave streaks.
Your guess is as good as mine...
Mix 1 part vinegar to 4 parts distilled water. Use for window cleaner. Use newpapers to wipe windows dry. This will dry with no streaks.
if you have a squeagie, use an ammonia solution and wipe off the blade on a rag after every swipe. No streaks.
Pay someone to do it for you ... a window cleaning service! I'm not kidding. After messing around with the windows in my house and not getting the 'streak free' finish, my wife and I found a local company that does windows for a reasonable price ... and they do a great job. It's worth the $100.00 to not have to deal with my windows at all. We have them do it twice a year and we love it!
a news paper works good, im a truck driver and i have to clean windows and mirrors all the time i always keep a spray bottle with water and amonia in it, it works good and dries fast
i noramlly use paper towels.
windex
wipe off w/ paper towels before the thing dryies.
Well all you've got to do is use newspaper
put windex or what ever spray u use on then wipe it off with newspaper.
Windex and paper towels.
use old news papers
I know this sounds ridiculous but my Mom always used newspapers. Just spray the window with windex and then wipe off with a newspaper. We always had the cleanest windows on the block.
First do a quick cleanup of all the surface dirt and dust, both on the windows & the frames. As you get better at window cleaning, just a brush down of that may suffice, but at first, you may also need to give it a quick wet down before you do your finishing coat.

Use your window solution (fake as good as Windex recipe follows) next. If using a squeege, have all your "strokes" go in the same direction...usually the width of the window is easiest. I like to start at the top and work my way down. Make sure to quickly wipe your squeeze every 2nd or 3rd stroke to keep it clean. Overlap your strokes to keep maintaining a wet edge. That said, I find I use this method outside only & resort to a cloth or sponge to do the initial washdown & then sparkle everything up with the "Windex" and newspapers, newspapers. The ink is what really brings the shine out, plus they are lint free & cheap :) Good luck, here's your recipe:

1/2 cup ammonia
1 pint rubbing alcohol
1 teaspoon Dawn dishwashing soap (Dawn is excellent at cutting grease)
add water to make a gallon
*food coloring of your choice if you want a colored solution
**the alcohol is the secret, it makes the glass dry quicker, so if you don't like the speed of drying, add a bit more alcohol.
Gently shake gallon container to mix ingredients, then distribute at will to waiting spray bottle(s).
I agree with the second answer hot water on cleaning rag, then use a dry cleaning rag. Also the less humidity the better make sure plenty of air stirring when doing windows and even mirrors. I clean houses and offices not all windows are made with 100% glass the newer homes the windows are half glass and half plastic so the hot water on the rag works great on all windows.
