Cleaning sippy cups?
Question:Ok any one know how to get the staw clean without a dishwasher and allso anyone notice how on the nuby sippy cups those little groove thingys inside the mouth part how do you get those cleaned also and of course without a dishwasher. Thankyou.

Use a pipecleaner - you can buy them in bulk at a crafts store. After all, their original purpose was cleaning pipes and a straw really is a pipe of sorts!
Buy those things that you use to clean the nipple of a bottle.. Those brushes will help to clean it.. Hope that helps..
You can try to use a bottle cleaner or a tooth brush but i have found that soaking them in a sink full of hot water with a little bit of bleach works best. Be sure that you thoroughly was them after wards. If the straw doesn't come clean try using a chopstick wrapped in half of a paper towel.
soak in dilute bleach solution but key is to do it ASAP. Same for sippy cups but you can use bottle brushes for this to get the hard to get areas. In either case, if you can't wash right away, hold the a quick rinse under the tap for a few seconds to flush out the food or drink goes a long way. Rinse thoroughly after bleach soak.
I would set a pot of water on the stove to boil then put the items in for a few seconds. Then I run water threw the straw. Try soaking in a little bleach water like one ounce to the whole sink of water. Then scrub with a scrubby the hard side. You could also ask to use a friends/family member dishwasher. I have done this. they understood.
