I just cleaned my carpet. If I put my furniture back while it is damp will it cause the carpet to mold?

Question:How long do you recommend waiting before putting furniture back? Does it have to be completely dry?

Answers:
Don't do it.
If the feet of the sofa have little metal glides on them you will leave rust spots. ALso, the wet fibers of the carpet will mash down and are very hard to revive should you decide to move the furniture. Depending on the climate you're working in, mold could develop not on the carpet but on the underside of the sofa. If that happens the sofa will smell for a million years. It is hard to be patient. But you will be sure not to create a new problem with your furniture and the rug. Furniture and rugs are very expensive to fix, even if that's possible. Mold is the worst thing to get rid of. Better to make sure you don't encourage it by being in a hurry.

No but it will take the area underneath longer to dry. Don't worry.
yes , you would be asking for problems. Wait for 12 hrs if it was steam cleaned & has plenty natural air
i doubt it but id recommend you wait til its dry especially if you have wood furniture i mean yeah
