Anyone use those Eco Balls for laundry? How well do they work?

Question:Would they be OK for nappies?

Answers:
I used them for nappies for a while. They are OK in that the stuff definitely is clean when they come out (no smell!), but they don't get rid of stains very well. But I found that line drying them in the sun took care of that (sunshine is a natural bleach). I like that there is no washing powder smell at all - things just smell clean.

I use the Ecover biological washing powder for nappies now, and the wash balls for ordinary washing. You get to learn what will come out and what won't, and if stuff doesn't come out then Ecover does the trick next time they go through the wash. The biological, not the non-bio - the one for colors. I don't know where you are, but biological is a bit of a washing powder dirty word in the UK - that's because most of the mainstream ones ARE very harsh on skin, they are full of artificial brighteners and things too (which bond irreversably with skin - ewwww!). But biological just means that it contains enzymes which "eat" organic matter, so is much better for food and poo stains! Non-bio simply tries to bleach them away instead of this process.

I haven't but have heard they work well! would of thought they would be ok for nappies too.
Sorry I'm not much more help!
I used them and found they didn't really do anything, certainly didn't remove stains.
I gave up on them eventually!
