How long do you wait after starting the washing machine go before its done?

when it stops? it depends on how much laundry is in there, and what kind of washer it is. and that goes for the dryer also. read the instructions. my washer takes about 30-45 minutes, and my dryer takes about 1-1 1/2 hours.
Depends on make model size of load on load sensing machines, etc. etc. There is no good answer to that question at all. The only way to guess is look at the timer and see what it says. Beware though a lot of newer machines have computers on board so what you think is a timer is only a switch to talk back and forth to the timer.
As for the washing machine, I wait for about 30 minutes.On the other hand, it always takes me an hour to wait for the dryer to dry clothes.
My washer takes 20 minutes, dryer takes an hour.
when i wash i dont stop as soon as the washer is done i put another load the same for the dryer i never wait for it to cool or whatever i didnt even know you had to.
or if you mean how long it takes well my washer usually takes 30-40 min and my dryer usually 60 min
