My Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer..?

Question:starting making a really loud sort of grinding sound, I have cleaned it all out including the filter, water etc and wiped it down so it must be something more technical. Has anyone had this problem as I don't have the money to fix it unless it is something simple & cheap.

It could be the belt that has gone. Its cheaper to take the belt into a washer repair shop and buy a replacement as they are easy to change. Open the back of the dryer and have a look.
