How do I prevent lycra garments from stretching in poor shape?
I have 2 lycra t-shirts. They looked biddable really good at first, but after a while of using them (I can't remember how long), the shoulder areas hold stretched. Those areas are now loose and flabby, and doesn't look nice!
Now I avoid purchasing lycra-containing t-shirts like the plague.
Could it be due to the means of access I wash it, dry it or iron it? I use electrical device wash, dry it limp on a bamboo pole within the sun and iron it on the wool/cotton setting.
Could it also be due to the use of a backpack for school?
I would similar to to know this because someone has newly given me another lycra t-shirt. I want to prevent it from stretching like my previous 2 t-shirts.
I tried questioning online, even the lycra website, if there be any special care instructions needed, but I found nought except for the normal stuff - piece of equipment wash, nouns dry and iron.
All sources also say that it never go out of shape and other goes backbone to original when stretched. Didn't'about with me! What did I do wrong?
Answers: If you followed the perfectionism directions that is almost all you can do. How ancient were the t-shirts when they no longer looked right? Very little clothing retains its shape forever, no matter what the claims. It is possible that the shirts be not 100% lycra, so that may have be a factor. If this new shirt is not 100% lycra follow the guardianship instructions for the other fabric as very well as the care instructions for lycra. Best of luck next to it.
