How can I prevent my linen shirt from wrinkling?

Question:I have a linen shirt that I have only worn twice and had it dry cleaned once. Each time I wore it, the shirt was wrinkled after 10 minutes! What can I do to prevent the shirt from wrinkling so easy?

Answers:
Sorry to tell you that Linen is the fiber that wrinkles the easiest. It is a great fiber to wear in the summer as it breathes more than most, but ... it will wrinkle like crazy. Adding starch , will keep the appearance a bit longer , but new linen will not absorb the starch very well. Older linen will absorb starch better ( the fiber start to bend and break abit allowing for better absorbtion). If you choose to iron and starch it is best to iron linen slightly damp and starch at the same time. But you will no matter what you do .wrinkle.
100 percent cotton is a good.. less wrinkling fiber to wear. It will give simmiliar breathing ( air movement thru the fibers).
I have had several very expensive linen items that look like a slept in my clothing after a few hours in hot and humid weather.

You need too starch it and then iron it. My wife has this same proble with her linen stuff. She will use a ton of starch on her stuff!
