Rowenta is a great iron. I've owned a variety of other brands and this Rowenta is the best and longest lasting I've ever owned. They come in many price points, have a great warranty, have a wonderful variety of settings for various applications, have a very long cord and will shut themselves off if you forget. Hubby irons all of his shirts for work weekly along with anything I need, so ours gets a lot of use.
i can tell you NOT to get an Euro-pro Shark...it's part of the Rowenta line. we got one when we got married because it had the best user reviews on target's site, but i can not STAND it!! it spits water all over the place and doesn't get wrinkles out very well.
the more the iron weighs, the better it irons :) happy hunting.
i had a sunbeam iron once that i liked.
