What is the best way to remove blood stains from clothing?
Question:I am specifically wondering about how to remove blood stains from cotton fabric.
Answers:
When i worked in the hospital we had to wear white uniforms, hydrogen peroxide works great. You can even use it while your wearing the clothes, pour some on and it will bubble and fizz..then rub the area with a brush or a course cloth, till it disolves away. Also, you can add a bit to the water when you do the laundry and it should work. But you want to be quick before the stain gets too deep into the fabric.
hydrogen peroxide it will eat up anything organic. The kind you do laundry with.
Carbona Stain Devil is amazing on blood stains! The #4 formula is the one you'd want.
Before you launder,Soak the item in cold water as warm water could set the stain. I would pretreat the stain with Zout or oxyclean and launder as usual.
Put it in cold water and let set then rub oxiclean paste on it and it should come out! They say Vodka takes out blood stains also and hydrogen peroxide.
I have not found anything that really works. If it is fresh blood that has not dried yet soak the clothing in cold water with some oxy clean and detergent. If the stain has dried and set in it is impossible to get out.
Cold water, I can tell you how to keep it off your clothes, stay out of fights..
STOP KILLING PEOPLE!! Just kidding, try liquid Tide with Bleach- it's safe for colors! Just dab some on the spots, then wash, make sure the stain is out before you dry though, if not, try again, and soak alittle longer
Try soaking in milk (Just the spot) that's what I heard. can't promis though. & next time use a rope, Not a knife.
