roaches, huh? tell your husband that he and his buddies need to watch the game in the garage
if you live in apartment, your neighbors might have them and they come to your place through walls... you have to bomb whole building.
Well, first do a walk thru of your home. Most likely the roaches are in the walls, under and behind appliances, and maybe in closets. They like dark spaces, that's why you see them run when you turn on a light. Your gonna wanna go into all of the dark areas of your home first and clean them thoroughly. then you can use a commercial brand roach bomb in those areas. Make sure you remove the important items in those areas, like clothes and things, wash those while you are using the roach bombs. After that, put down roach motels and get a few cans of roach spray, i use it on all of the corners and walls of my apartment. Every week when i clean, I spray those areas again, and from time to time remove the old roach motels and add new ones. I have seen 2 roaches in two years and I live in new jersey. All of my neighbors have bad roaches, but I can't say that i've noticed any. Also, alot of times people unknowingly bring roaches from their home to yous. So be mindful of this as well.
call a bug guy.where there is one roach, there are hundreds more.does not matter how clean your house is,they don't care if it is clean or dirty in a house.they could have gotten in a number of ways,a paper grocery bag, box, ect.call a bug guy.i doubt it costs much.good luck
First "bomb" the place. There is no need to pay the rip off prices that companies like Orkin charge you.
Then put packets of Equal sweetener or Splenda (Yes, they make great bug poison) and baking soda along the baseboards and places you think roaches might like to hide.
I read an article once about this but I'm not sure if it works because I've never had to do it. They said it absolutely works though. If you try it and it works please let me know.
Kill cockroaches with a mixture of 1/3 borax, 1/3 cornmeal, 1/3 flour and a dash of powdered sugar. Sprinkle this in crevices under sinks and vanities where cockroaches love to hide. Keep this away from children and animals.
You can also try this.
Mix powdered boric acid with sugar and powdered nondairy creamer. Use a mixture of of 50 percent boric acid to 25 percent sugar and 25 percent creamer. This is relatively safe but should still be kept away from children and animals. Sprinkle the mixture in all the dark, warm places that cockroaches love - under sinks and stoves, behind refrigerators, in cabinets and closets, and so on. The roaches will walk through the powder and then clean themselves, much the way a cat does. Once they ingest the powder they die.
Also, to keep roaches out of the cupboards, place some bay leaves on the shelves.
