Twist suction soap holder for the shower?

Question:I bought something called a twist suction soap holder, I tried putting it on my shower wall and pressing and twisting but It just falls immediately. I tried putting water on the back too.
how can I get it to stay?

It could be that you have some type of soap or cleaner residue on the surface.Try cleaning area thoroughly and again with bleach,rinsing with water between cleaners.Dry thoroughly.If that doesnt work,and you really need this,try using crazy glue.Also,an easier type soap holder is the one that hangs from the shower neck.I have this type and it works w/out the hassle.Good luck.
