Why do my black trousers (pants) have white patches on?

Question:Every time i seem to wash my black trousers (pants as americans call them) in the wash they seem to come out as dirty as they went in, not with the obvious dirt but with white patches on them...why is this? I have had this problem with other pairs of lycra trousers before...

Answers:
It may be undissolved powdered detergent.

Wash again in just warm water .

Change to liquid detergent.

Wash them inside out...cold water ...add soap first and let it dissolve..only wash dark with dark...this does not include towels..Good Luck
