How do I remove chewing gum residue from a cotton sweater?
Question:Sweater is white in color, gum is located in three different spots on left sleeve.

Go to bunnings and purchase a product called either Goo Off or goof off. My sister had the same problem and the gum came off the jumper without leaving any marks.
I have heard that peanut butter takes out gum but that may just as hard to get out of the sweater as the gum.
Put your sweater in freezer till the gum becomes dry so you can easy take it out. remove stain by baking soda.

so happens i used to work in chemicals. go to your nearest hardware store and buy a can of spraying nitrogen.(this is serius) when you spray it it will freeze and you just dust it all off. i'm dead serius.
Rub the area with an ice cube
Take an ice cube and hold it on the spot. Then take a knife or something and it should come right off. I wouldn't recommend peanut butter on your shirt because the oils in it might stain it.
go to walmart and buy a cleaner called de-solve it. its wonderful and will take about anything sticky out of everything. i use it all the time for my kids .
use peanut butter to remove the gum, strange but it does work
