nope,some only pick up certain dirt! ( yes!!),and i found the vax hoover "pet lover" at 65 quid a great buy
I have the dyson 'animal' and its a heap of junk! But if bits and pieces fall off or need replaced the care team is very efficient
yeah you don't know how dirty your house is untill you get one
I have researched Dysons for over a year before buying one. I LOVE IT. They are the very best bag-less on the market at current time. Go to their web site and compare. I will never buy another vac. I was also afraid of the price. I have purchased a 250.00 bag less two different times, over time they both went to leaving as much dust in the air as they picked up. Go for it.

They are pretty good and less noisy than some other vacuums. But I prefer my trusty Vax, even if it is a bit on the noisy side. I find its much more powerful than my mum's Dyson.
At our local Auction Rooms there are many of these cleaners each week. I know they are efficient, have used one, but found it to be far too heavy. Try before you buy if you can.

I have just bought a Hoover vacuam,the brand.And I have looked it up and people say Hoover is rubbish!!oh well.prob should have gone for a Vax,the funny thing is I was going to,then went for the Hoover.
loved mine till the ex took it in a custody battle...too dear to buy a new one. but well worth the money.
Dyson ARE GOOD BUT EXPENSIVE. GREAT FOR FINE DUST BUT EASY CLOG WITH SWEET PAPERS ETC. I have a Morphy Richards cyclone 1800w it picks up great ! too well for size of canister spend ages cleaning filter out longer than i do vacuuming up. don't get one of these.s
My Dyson doesnt pick up like it used to when you look at all the plastic you wonder how it could have cost so much
I bought my Dyson before they took the factory out of Britain like Robert i will never buy another Dyson due to that fact
