Laundry Detergent??

Question:Ok, I am new at laundry and I want to know what is detergent for and where do I put it in the laundry.

Answers:
The directions should be on the inside of the door. It can vary from machine to machine.

Personally, I just pour in a cup of detergent right into the water when I first start it, before I add clothes. If I'm doing whites I add my bleach then to. I ALWAYS use cold water. Then I add the clothes.

ALWAYS use cold water, especially if there's a blood stain. Hot water will make it set in.

Always seperate your whites and colors.

good luck

detergent is to clean the fabric being washed, normally you should add to water before adding clothes, for top load (regular) washer. if your washer is front load their should being access door to add detergent on top of washer. for soiled large load use one cup. decrease detergent for smaller loads.
Detergent is the soap used to clean your clothes. Follow directions, and put it in the water BEFORE you put in the clothes. Fabric softener goes in at the beginning of the rinse cycle. If your machine doesn't have a dispenser, pour into wash after the machine has filled with rinse water.

Sort your clothes by color.whites, lights, colors, and towels. Wash each load in COLD water. Either hang to dry or dry on medium. Take out of dryer immediately and hang or fold to prevent wrinkles.
Detergent is just another word for soap. It's what gets the clothing clean. As to where to put it, it all depends on the type of machine you have. With a top loader, you simply put the soap in the same way you put the clothes, just don't put too much. Use the instructions on the package. With a front loader, there will be a small "drawer" that you pull out of the front of the machine. It's in either top corner. In this, you put liquid detergent.
You must be really new at Laundry- Laundry detergent goes into the washer to clean your clothes... It's soap. If you read the back of the container it will tell you how much to put in you laundry.

*First you need to sort your clothes Darks/Lights

Darks wash cold Lights wash warm White(s), towels, sheets (Hot)... Underwear/bras cold delicate

Look at each pile to pretreat stains, if you have pretreater (shout, spray n wash) now's a good time to use it. If you don't just use full strength laundry soap about the size of a quarter on the stain.. Gently rub into fabric

Start the washer. There should be a load size dial- don't overcrowd washer or your clothes won't come clean...

Cycle dial..I like permanent press, unless it's underwear/bras/silks/delicates then I use a delicates cycle

Temperature: Darks (cold/cold) Lights (warm/cold) Whites(Hot/cold) refers to wash cycle and rinse cycle...If you have an extra rinse cycle it won't hurt to use it- it will re-rinse your clothes... It's good to use if you use too much detergent...

If you start filling the basin you can dump your detergent right in the bin... Let the water fill up and then put the clothes in. Good luck and don't forget you have stuff in the washer or they will have to be washed again.
Detergent/powder/Gel cleans your clothing conditioner softens the wash .And You load the machine with laundry what ever bundle you have whites/colours/denim/woolens and all that in a British machine you put the powder in the drawer first compartment then the softener in the middle one, if you are using gel you need a ball to put it in and that goes inside the machine if it's tablets you will need a little net bag and the also go inside
