Answers:
baking soda
borax
or dishsoap but dilute it in water before dumping it on the clothes
borrow laundry soap
in for a penny in for a pound
wash it without soap!! Unless u can get done another day.
use 1/2 cup of vinegar or 1/2 cup of ammonia and 1/4Th cup of dish detergent that should do it.Both of these are used to remove stains.
What ever you do DO NOT use hair shampoo or dish soap. You will have a huge mess to clean up.
If you need to do your wash now you could just wash without soap. The wash and rinse cycles along with the agitation from the machine should be enough to clean your clothes for the time.
If you need to have one or two items you may think about washing by hand with a mild hand soap (I Like Ivory). This will do the trick until you have enough money to do it right.
For the future I also recommend having a bar of Fels Naptha Heavy Duty Laundry Soap as a reserve. This product is a great for removing stains and you can shave it into your laundry when you run into situations like you are currently in.
Good luck
I have used dish soap before when I was in a bind, and it's ok to use it as long as you don't go overboard. Don't worry.
Baking soda works well. And on the plus side, it deodorizes the clothes. I usually use a mix of 1/4 cup dry detergent (I like seventh generation) and 1/4 cup baking soda. It's cheaper and works better than straigt detergent.
