How can u get sticker residue off of marble?
Question:I have these marble eggs and i've peeled the stickers off of them but it left that gross residue on them and it makes them look horrible... how can i get them off without having to go out and buy anything(ie: goo be gone etc...)
Answers:
nail polish remover or WD40
If you have some lighter fluid around the house or in the garage then that will take it right off.
Use a cotton ball with alcohol. Yes, plain medicinal alcohol will take the sticker residue from almost anything, including plastic (tupper wares' stickers are annoying!)
Any kind of oil will do the tril with a little rubbing.
nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol should work
Use your hair spray, spray on,don't wait too long so that it dries, and wipe off. You may have to repeat the process. I wouldn't advise nail polish remover. That has acetone in it and may take the glossy shine off the marble.
If you have WD40 that works great if not use an Ice Cube and rub. Thats all there is to it. NOTE:Make sure you keep drying it as not to harm the marble with water.
You can use rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish remover.
Eucalyptus oil, so what, go and buy a small bottle, it will last you for years and clean up all sorts of mess, sticky or otherwise.
100 % pure silicone spray (any hardware store), it will remove the adhesive, won't stain, and they will be water proof, they'll also be slippery from the silicone so don't let anyone touch them until they dry (about 10 minutes), you are going to need a can of silicone around the house anyway, unlike "WD-40" (silicone & oil), it won't stain fabric, or clothing (works great on sticky zippers), it can go places that "WD-40" can't, lasts longer too.
try using some adhesive remover, rub it until it peels off.
an alcohol swab may work too.
good luck
Rubbing alcohol, White Vinegar or Goo Gone all work to remove sticker residue use all these solutions undiluted then wash with dishwashing detergent afterwards and rinse thoroughly. Good Luck !
dish soap
