Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in mold and mildew?

Both are just different types of fungi ...like mushrooms.mildew is much stinkier than mold and can usually be found on that wet towel that was tossed in the corner for a week. Mold produces more wind bourne spores that may be bad if inhaled and need less moisture to grow, like in the corner of your basement or on a window sill. Either one can be killed quite easily with bleach.
