Good Quality washer and dryer? Best Brand?
Question:We are looking for a Front load washer and dryer for our growing family. 3 young boys. Lots of clothes to clean. Heard that the front loads are more energy efficient. Would like to know what brand has the best track record for durability and repairs etc.

We have had the Kenmore Elite H3 for 2 years and have had no problems with it. The wash cycles are longer, but it washes larger loads and spins them mostly dry so drying times are really short. You can use 1/2 the amount of regular detergent or buy the special HE detergent.

I have always used Kenmore. My sister has a whirlpool and they are virtually the same. They did have a recall on the pump; and they replaced it. Other than that, there have been no problems. They have an energy star rating and most electric companies offer rebates. We've always had a Kenmore dryer, too. I've never, ever had to have a service call on one.
Definitely a Bosch, kind-of expensive but worth it!
I've had Kenmore products for years. They do the best job, I swear by them. Had a washer for over 25 years and other than a timer repair in year 23 it was great. The Kenmore Dryer lasted just as long. Plus the company stands behind it's products to keep the customer happy. Yes the front load ones are suppose to be more economical. Good luck.

I have an LG and love it! They have a great rating too. I ahve the TROMM series if that helps.
