How can you remove the smell of moth balls from fabric?
Question:I was told to put moth balls in with my baby clothes to keep bugs & mice out While in storage.
Now 6 years later I have another little girl and need to use the clothes and they STINK. I have washed them several times in Tide & Downy nothing has worked HELP!!!

After giving all the clothes a good wash, Add 1 cup of white vinegar to the rinse water, that should do it. Make sure all the moth ball smell is out, you DO NOT want your baby breathing in that smell. NEVER USE MOTH BALLS especially on children's clothing. You can purchase Cedar cakes that come on a hook and use them in the closet, not on the clothes

Wash in cold water to begin with & lot´s of fresh air. Will take time to get rid of it. Then once the smell has gone wash as normal
