How can I remove human urine from my NEW microsuede, non-removeable couch cushion?
Question:My son had an accident on our 3 week old light blue microsuede couch with non-removeable cushions or covers. Anyone know the best route to take to remove the urine and odor? Any help prior to my anxiety attack completely doing me in would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks - Karen in Florida
Answers:
vinegar then use soap and water.
vinegar is an acid so it may break down the urine and the smell then use soap and water to get rid of the smell of the vinegar.
sounds crazy but trust me it will work
Non removable? Everything can be removed in some fasion. Can you slit the back of the cushion and then resew it back on? Call the store where you got it, or look on the tags to see the manfacturer. Look them up on the internet and call them to ask what they recommend. But meanwhile, you can try pet urine removal products from the pet store. Or call a fabric/carpet cleaner company. Also just type in "human urine remoival" and see what comes up on internet.
I would suggest getting a professional carpet cleaner to do the couch they may have a way to do the couch getting the urine out of the cushion and not ruin the couch. Also make sure plenty of air stirring or the couch will mildew if not dried completely.
