How can i wash 100%polyester curtains in the waher that says dry clean only?

Question:i have a pair of curtains that says dry clean only but i would like to wash them in my washer ther 100% polyester

can i wahs them in my washer

Answers:
100 % polyester is a very washable fiber I would use a gentle cycle, cold water and Woolite and stop the spin about half way and they should come out just beautiful.

I don't think so
So don't
try getting dryel
I believe that polyester is washable, why not try to wash them by hand, soak them in a tub of warm water, swish them around a bit, squeeze them gently, they should come out ok, hang to dry, if you have a clothes dryer rack or lines in your basement. I've washed many things that say dry clean only, but you have be careful., always do it by hand, not a washer which may be to hard on the fabric in the spin cycle. Some materials do require dry-cleaning so read the labels carefully
I once inherited some great long, posh, John Lewis lined curtains, which were nicotine stained. I paid about £30 to have them dry cleaned and they came back looking much the same. I then washed them at 40 degrees and they came out CLEAN. Polyester doesn't really shrink, in my opinion. However, you have to ask yrself if you're prepared to take the risk. (I'd do it).
