My friend uses her backside - says they come up a treat!
if youre really a guy wanting to clean shower curtains, i think youve crossed over to the homo side...
come back!
I put them in the wash machine on delicate with a very small amount of soap.
washing machine
I usually get the cheaper ones and throw them away after about a month. you can wash some in the washing machine on delicate but I would just say get the cheap ones and throw them away $1.50 for a shower curtain.
You can either use a bit of bleach or a bit of laundry soaker in a warm bucket of water. Use a bristle brush to scrub them lightly. If they're a bit mouldly you can leave them in the bucket overnight.
You can wash the shower curtain and bath at the same time by putting some bleach and water in the bath, putting in the shower curtain and let soak for a short time. Wipe over the shower curtain, wipe out the bath and Wallah! It just takes elbow grease.
what material is it? If it's made of cloth all you have to do is put it in the washer machine. If it's plastic, spray it with Clorox (with bleach) bathroom cleaner.
Buy cheapest Chinese made plastic curtains and replace them when they are dirty! :-)
The best way is to wash them in a warm water wash with towels, then just hang them back up to dry.I put a fan on mine, that works.Remember to always close the curtain when you come out of the shower to prevent smells and mildew.
Wash both your curtain and liner together on gentle cycle, cold water. Rehang the curtain in the shower to dry. I have done this with many types of curtains, expensive to cheap, through the years. Works every time, and your bathroom smells so fresh! :) Good luck!
put it in the washer machine- gentle cycle and hang up to dry.
if they mean a lot to you i have no idea other than to wash them as you would normally but in a gentle soap. i personally just toss the old ones in the garbage and buy new. it's easier.
Buy a new one. LOL
You can put it in the washer on gentle, but it can be a mess getting it from the washer to rehang and dry if it's plastic. I finally just started buying a cheap plastic liner to put behind my easily washed cloth curtain. When I replace the liner the old one goes into my husband's work shop to be used as a drop cloth or for yard work. Can be cut and laid under mulch for weed control. Recycle, recycle - especially plastic.
This is a hint from Heloise- use 1/3 cup of bleach, 1/3 cup of ammonia and 1/3 cup of laundry soap and two large bath towel that will not get bleached out when using with bleach, put curtain in washer and fill with hot water and add towels and the 3 ingredients listed above, run through reg. cycle, add 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse water ( which should be hot water also)and then hang it back up right after the spin cycle- if there are wrinkles use a hair blow dryer to smooth wrinkles out as it hangs!
