place a few layers of paper towel on the wax and iron over the paper towel. The heat of the iron will melt the wax into the paper towel.. presto... works like a charm
freeze it then chip it off
I think the question is, how did you get candle wax on your bedsheets to begin with?

uh.. heat it up.. once it melts, wash it with soap or kerosene...
Removing wax spills from clothing, table cloths, cloth napkins:
1. Place item with wax spill in the freezer for an hour or two. Break frozen wax off of fabric.
2. Launder on cold.
3. If a color stain remains, it is best to have the article dry cleaned, with special attention paid to the candle dye stain. If the candle dye stain is very light, you can also try laundering the fabric on a very hot temperature. Laundering fabrics stained with dark dye stains isn't recommended, as the hot water can actually set the stain into the fabric.
Ironing the wax up w/ paper towels works fine for carpet or upholestry but might be too harsh on thinner fabrics like sheets.
Put a towel over the wax and run a steam iron over it. That'll take care of it!
Grab all white paper towels;set iron on med-low heat;place one piece of paper towel under and one piece of paper towel over sheet;the heat will melt the wax and the paper towel will absorb it.
Lay a piece of waxed paper over the wax, then cover the wax paper with a towel. With a hot iron go over the towel and when the wax gets warm it will stick to the wax paper..
HA! Burning the candle at both end, huh? Ice to harden it, dull knife to scape up most of it. The product, Googone, with paper towel under the sheet to remove candle stain.

Run the spot under HOT water, once it remelts, chip away and wash in hot water in your machine. :)
