Permanent Marker and an I Pod.?
Question:My son got a hold of a permanent marker and wrote on our I Pod. What should I use to clean it off, or should I just leave it?
Answers:
Go to the auto parts store and buy a small jar of Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. It looks like white facial cream. Put a small daub on a clean cotton cloth and gently rub the marker off. Caution! Excessive rubbing will remove lettering and symbols on the iPod and other things you may want to clean, and makes the surface very shiney even if its already slick plastic like the iPod.
Always test cleaning products in a less-noticeable place, just to be sure you won't damage the finish.
First, turn it off and click the "hold" switch so you don't accidentally erase anything.
I would try rubbing alcohol on a tissue first. I've had good luck getting permanent marker out of plastics with rubbing alcohol.
Next step would be a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Make sure it's just a bit damp.
If all else fails, just buy a skin or case for it - it still works correctly, so change its look!
very simple and cheap use a WET MR.CLEAN MAGIC ERASER, will come right off.
