Strange stains on clothes!?
Question:I have clothes which have had light red stains appear on them which subsequently "weaken" the fabric causing holes/tears. I don`t think it is the washing that causes this as my little boy`s clothes have suffered and I do not wash his clothes (he lives with his Mummy). I really need to solve it as an expensive sweater has been ruined!
Answers:
Sounds like bleach or battery acid splashed on them.
Have the clothes come in contact with rust,? Is the washing machine an old one , This could be the cause.
Sounds like bleach...if gotten on dark clothes it'll turn the spots of contact brown.
Bleach will eat up your fabric. The only thing I can think of is that your bleach dispenser is malfunctioning in your washer. Try switching to a "bleach for colors" even on your whites, or add directly to your water before putting your clothes in the wash.
Beware of the bleach dispenser,LOL...
If it's rust I would take a tub of water and a cap full of CLR and soak them. Then I would ring them out and put them into the laundry again. It does sound like rust.
it could be as simple as pulling out the plastic tag, that comes on clothes from the store, instead of cutting them off.
I do that sometimes when I am in a hurry ... and bingo a hole!
maybe it is rust for the washer barrell. Try cleaning your washer by using CLR?
