What's a good vaccuum cleaner to get for both hardwood floors and carpet?
Question:I'm willing to spend up to 300 dollars to get one. Thanks!

dirt devil ultra vision turbo....walmart has them***
Trust me - Buy a Dyson, SO worth it! Target and Sears carries them. You won't regret it.
get a kirby its the best they even have something where the vacuum even polishes ur floor i think
A Dyson. I use one for my job. Easily interchangeable, easy to manoeuvre, no vacuum bags and minimal dust output. They really suck, too (in the positive). If you're in the US, they are easy to find. In Canada, they've only been recently approved and available.
ORECK
yes it has. i used it for my hardware floors and my family loves it. it also works with carpet
How about a Roomba Robot? It vacuums by itself and goes easily from surface to surface and you can put up beams called virtual walls to keep it from going where you don't want it to go. If you have pets or lots of dirt, you have to empty it every time because the bin isn't huge, but it is easy to dismantle and clean. I have two and I love them. One, my Discovery, even puts itself away to recharge when it is finished.
I have an oreck and I just love it.
I'm happy with my Sears central vac, it's almost like a shop vac except for not picking up wet stuff. If you can't go with a central vac, then I've heard from many that a Dyson is very good. Good luck!
i have wanted a dyson since they came out and finally got one this past month. its ok and i like how my cats pet hair doesnt clog it since there is no filter but i would say if you dont have issues with pet hair go for something cheaper.oreck seems to be a good brand. my grandmother owns one.
I love my Oreck since it does a fine job on our bare floors as well as the carpeted rooms. Might not work on a long pile carpet such as shag but works great on Berber. The dealers will try to sell you one which costs more than $300.00 but I believe they still have a "plain Jane" model just under $300.00 which is what I have. I've had mine about 9 years with no problems. Also it's fairly light so doesn't hurt my arthritic shoulders and wrists.
Oreck all the way. My mother in law has had the same one for over 10 years. I bought mine for $200 direct from Oreck, reconditioned and wouldn't trade it for anything else. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!
I love my Kenmore Progressive canister vac. I've got mostly bare floors with some thick carpet in certain rooms, and it works great. The tools are easy to change too.
I love my Hoover Wind Tunnel. It has settings for both and comes as a canister so it's easy on my back.
Get the Dyson. The DC15 ball is the best. Its more then you want to spend. But more $150 more you will be happy. The extra 150 is worth it
