Downy (brand) makes a spray-on "Wrinkle Releaser" that causes fabric wrinkles to fall away.?
Question:Its pretty pricey - can I make my own from liquid fabric softener and water or something? Thanks!
Answers:
my wife buys wrinkle releaser at dollar general. it is around 2 bucks a bottle.
I think it's a dry cleaning fluid.
I don't even think that it works that well.
Just throw your clothes into the dryer for a few minutes and it will take the wrinkles right out!
It really doesn't work that well. If you have something that is wrinkled, put it in the dryer with a wet towel. Dry for 10 minutes, remove and hang (or wear).
Plain water mixed with some liquid starch in a spray bottle will work the same way.
yes it does work, it also works when you take clothes out of the dryer right away, and hang them right away, or lay them flat. ALSO, when you take them out of the washer, shake each piece out b4 the dryer.
That wrinkle releaser according to a commercial I saw, is not just a matter of spray on and ta-da wrinkles gone.you have to basically "iron" with your hands.
I personally would not even waste my money or time with the stuff. If you want wrinkle free clothes (by most standards) make sure you remove from the dryer immediately when done. Don't let the clothes set, or else the wrinkles WILL set, and then you have to get out the ol iron and ironing board.
mix some mustard and tomato paste in a small bowl, and salt and pepper and you got same thing.
DOLLLAR GENERAL has a wrinkle releaser that works just as good as the pricey downy one ...it is half the price***
If I have anything wrinkled, I just toss it into the dryer for a few minutes. If it's badly wrinkled, I spritz some water on it and put it in the dryer for ten minutes. Voila!
I've never had any luck with this product. I just throw the clothes in the dryer with something that is wet.
I have some of the Downy wrinkle releaser. I'm not that impressed with it. I usually end up just tumbling my clothes for 10 mins or so.
