Got grease on my pants from a forklift and have washed them already. Is it to late?
Question:I only have so many pairs of work pants and I forgot to spray them with a stain remover. My mom always said that once you wash and dry them, Its in there for good. Is this true? And if not... How and what do I use? Thanks.

I am not saying this will work, but it can't hurt to try, because it is generally true about the (not so much) washing part, but definitely the drying part will set stains. But...try De-Solv-It. It is great stuff and gets a lot of messy things cleaned up for me. It is ALWAYS in my cupboard. I have had great success with it removing crayon, gum (melted all over at that too), and the stuff is safe to use, even in your hair, your dog's hair..oh well, I could just blab on...but try it, it can't hurt and the money won't be wasted because you will always find a use for it later on.
Here's a site below to read about it...you won't be sorry you bought it.
I washed grease off my workshirt and when it didn't come off I took it to the dry cleaner. He was able to get it off and it only cost me $7.
You can still get it out. Try Dawn dish wasing liquid. It's great on removing grease. Just make sure you get it off the pants before you wash them or you'll have a bubblefest.
Use that Oxi crap that stuff is really amazing.
Nope it's not too late. You can use oxy cleaner in a paste form with a toothbrush to clean, OR do like I do and just spray some BRAKEKLEEN (from a autoparts store) right on the spot. It won't damage your fabric or discolor them.
Get a bar of Fels Naptha soap. Use the soap on the stains and re-wash.
I have always had good luck with a hand washing product called GOOP. If you have already machine dried it, you may have set the stain, but it can't hurt to try this maybe some brakeclean, & then the dry cleaners before giving up.
You can find Brakclean at the auto parts store, & GOOP in the supermarket most of the time.
Use Grease Ligtning, or Dawn dish soap, rub in well, but dont scrub denim. it lightens them
Spray WD-40 ON IT. this will take the stain right out. just wash as normal..
just get a knife and cut it out
